Company Profile

Gibson Information Systems Ltd. is a 100%-Alberta-owned company. It was incorporated in 1987 to provide Information Technology services to small and medium sized businesses, large corporations and self-employed professionals.

The company is owned by Al Gibson, P.Eng., I.S.P. Al has worked with computers since 1969, in large corporations and small companies. He has been a Project Manager, Software Development Manager, Team Leader, Software Developer and Trainer. He has worked with computers ranging in size from large mainframes to minicomputers and the newest personal computers.

• 1969 graduate of the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) and member of APEGGA (the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta).
• I.S.P. (Information Systems Professional) designation since 1991, and member of CIPS (the Canadian Information Processing Society) since 1982.
• Completed University-level Finance and Accounting courses, and the Canadian Securities Course.
• Active member of Toastmasters since 1984, achieving the levels of Competent Toastmaster and Able Toastmaster, and serving many volunteer roles in the organization.
